Love 2 stay

Love 2 stay #hi5adventurefamily Love 2 Stay This remarkable campsite is sat on 22 acers with views of the Shropshire hills and the Welsh boarder. A short drive away from the medieval market town, Shrewsbury. The site itself is a class above the rest, the quality of the facilities really is second to none. We stayed in a caravan with a really unique awning. It is permanently set up with a timber floor, dining table and large comfortable sofa. Added to the rear of the awning is a covered decking area with stunning views. This set up offers a little bit of luxury and comfort and certainly adds a lot more space to stay in. The luxury continued with the shower block and toilet facilities, they are very modern and clean. Everything is operated by sensors, there’s plenty of room and even a baby bath for Parker. We arrived about 5pm in the evening and had planned to have something to eat and a little walk to explore…

Bolton Abbey

Bolton Abbey #hi5adventurefamily Bolton Abbey Bolton Abbey is a perfect family day out in the Yorkshire Dales on the banks of the River Wharfe. If you’re looking to escape to the great outdoors, then there’s really no where better to spend the day. Acres of beautiful countryside and footpaths to explore, walk along the riverside and amongst the woodland. There are some beautiful spots to stop for a picnic but also plenty of tea rooms, cafes and restaurants selling excellent local produce. To see everything this remarkable place has to offer realistically you would need more than a day to explore it all. This is why we looked at the map and picked the bits we were most excited to see. We had a walk by the river, the kids love throwing stones in. then enjoyed a beautiful walk up towards the Priory church and ruins. It’s great to spend a bit of time wandering around here. Afterwards we moved on to the Stepping Stones, 60 steps running…

Calella De Palafrugell

CALELLA DE PALAFRUGELL #hi5adventurefamily Calella de Palafrugell A costal fishing town found in Spain, northeastern Catalonia forming part of the beautiful Costa Brava. Here you can expect to find plenty of natural beauty with long walks along the coastal cliff tops. There’s lots of different coves with a new beach to explore, its great visiting each one to see which one is your favourite. Ours were Port Bo, Playa El Golfet and Platja del Canadell. Port Bo looks just like something from a post card, the beach has colourful boats sat side by side. The buildings are pretty with lots of white and blue colours and archways, its very impressive. There’s lots of gorgeous restaurants, particularly nice if you enjoy fresh sea food. Our favourite meal was tapas at the Calau, found on the corner next to the ice cream shop. The ice cream shops  are also well worth a try, some very quality ice creams with lots of flavours to choose from. El Golfet is about a ten…

26 hours on the road with 3 kids

'26 Hours on the road with 3 kids' #hi5adventurefamily 26 hours on the road with 3 kids Our bags were packed & our travel clothes out ready to go, as we had an early start in the morning, 5.30am to start our long journey to Spain. As a family of five, the youngest just two months old we have to make sure we are up at least 1 hour before the taxi arrived to pick us up. Now even the simple things like getting ready and out the door takes it's time, even if we are all prepared the night before. 6.30am the taxi took us to our mini bus which drove for about an hour before transferring us to the main coach, this coach would take us all the way to Spain. We were travelling with the company Siesta, which has specialized in holidays abroad to France and Spain travelling by coach for years. They offer a great alternative to flying for people wanting to holiday abroad.…

Week 10 Conkers

Week 10 Conkers #hi5adventurefamily We enjoyed a weekend away staying in a log cabin in Swadlincote which is sited within the National Forest, also close to Burton Upon Trent and Conkers adventure park. The accommodation was fantastic, Colliery Lane Lodges situated on a peaceful private site overlooking a small fishing lake with relaxing views of the surrounding country side. The lodge was very modern and luxurious with open plan living. There was a large modern kitchen that lead onto a dining table, the kitchen island separated the living space nicely. To the front of the lodge was a large decking area with a private hot tub, great fun and lovely to use anytime of the day, the boys enjoyed getting in it first thing in the morning and we liked to get in late at night and watch the stars. We would definitely recommend staying here if you’re looking to relax and unwind whilst enjoying a little bit of luxury. We had a few days out exploring different…

Week 9 Walt Disney World VILLA VS HOTEL

Week 9 Walt Disney World FloridaVILLA VS HOTEL#hi5adventurefamily Walt Disney World Florida VILLA VS HOTEL A holiday to Disney world Florida is the stuff dreams are made of for most families, a fun filled action packed holiday with something for everyone. I've heard people describe it as “the happiest place on earth” before but I also hear people say this a lot, “it was so tiring you need a holiday after Disney world just to relax.” So, the question is when planning your holiday of a life time to Disney world Florida which is better, a villa or a Disney hotel. We are lucky enough to have gone to Disney world Florida three times in recent years and have spent time in both villas and a Disney hotel. The first two times we visited we stayed only in a villa and I always wondered what it would be like to stay in a Disney hotel. In my mind I always presumed a Disney hotel would be better, but…
